ONCE MEMBERSHIP HAS BEGUN,
THE DOCTOR BEGINS THE PATH TO MASTERSHIP IN THE ACADEMY
Mastership Program (MAOS)
Mastership candidates will be required to complete at least 40 hours of Oral Surgery training in the approved categories by online, workshop, and participation courses prior to being eligible for the Mastership examination.
Candidates who have attained this requirement must next successfully complete the Mastership examination, consisting of at least 100 multiple choice questions covering the approved subjects stated above.
A passing grade of 80% or higher will be required. Candidates must retake the examination until they achieve this requirement.
The application fee for the Mastership exam is $1000. Upon completion of all these requirements, one would achieve Mastership status (Master of the AOS).
